- Plan the purchasing of spares parts and materials required.
- Part number data base creation and vendor management in the system.
- Liaise with the Regional office or Hub for any new or unusual requirements and initiate purchase or spare parts sharing
- Control inventory replenishment and turnaround time requirement for purchasing/repair action within agreed budget.
- Manage the proper calculations tools for provisioning Consumables to optimize holdings
- Liaise with other departments and within materials dept. for highlighting actual or potential delay’s in procuring materials and ensure the alternate solutions are put in place
- Monitor all outstanding service case in order to avoid hold for parts
- Check BOM and monitor the standard cost.
- Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or any related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in material management and supply/production planning role, chemical industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SAP/MS software e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Knowledge of logistics and material flow.
- Good command of spoken and written communication skills in English
- Self-motivated with high sense of urgency and adaptability.
- Effective time management skills including sequencing of own work and resource management.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking, decision making skills, ability to initiate process improvement.
