Job Summary: Procurement Manager
Seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee procurement
operations for our logistics operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing,
negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services that align with company
goals. The manager will work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and
cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company goals including warehouse equipment and transport-related services such as racking, packing materials, forklift, vehicle leasing, and maintenance.
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services, especially for fleet maintenance, warehousing, and operational supplies.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, price lists, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and payment cycles.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of the supply base.
