Administrative and Government Liaison Officer
We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Administrative and Government Liaison Officer to join our international school team. This pivotal role supports the Director and ensures seamless operations, particularly concerning government compliance and staff documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Liaison & Compliance:
– Act as the primary point of contact for all communications and coordination with Thai government agencies.
– Manage the end-to-end process for teaching licenses, visa applications, and work permit applications and extensions for foreign staff.
– Prepare, submit, track, and receive official government correspondence and documentation.
– Ensure the school’s full compliance with relevant Thai laws and regulations pertaining to private international education, foreign teachers, and foreign labor.
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the
school Director. Maintain organized and accurate records, especially related to student registration and HR data. Assist with various human resources functions and programs, including but not limited to, new hire onboarding support, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR initiatives.
Operational Support:
Utilize digital tools, platforms, computers, and Google Workspace (e.g., Docs,
Sheets, Drive, Calendar) proficiently to enhance efficiency and communication. Support school-wide programs and initiatives as required. Required Technical/Functional Knowledge & Skills
Governmental Acumen:
understanding of Thai governmental structures, regulations, and
operational procedures relevant to international schools.
Negotiation & Public Relations:
Proven skills in negotiation and public relations management, with
the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies.
Data Management & Accuracy (Staff and Student Database to report MOE):
Highly skilled in student registration systems and database administration, with an unwavering commitment to data integrity, accuracy, and meticulous record-keeping.
Organizational & Planning: Exceptional organizational and planning abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture productive working relationships with internal staff and external government stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all tasks and documentation.
Communication & Collaboration: Good written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong teamwork and collaborative abilities.
Business Acumen: Sound understanding of business principles and commercial implications within an educational setting.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in Thai is highly advantageous for government liaison.
