Job Summary : The Power Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of a wind energy facility. This role ensures that the wind farm operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all environmental and regulatory standards. The manager leads a team of technicians and engineers, manages contractors, and coordinates with stakeholders to maximize power output and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the wind farm to ensure optimal performance and energy production.
- Lead, supervise, and support plant staff, including engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and maintenance schedules.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance standards.
- Monitor plant performance and take corrective action as needed to improve output and efficiency.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Manage contracts and coordinate with OEMs contractor for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Manage contracts and coordinate with EGAT and ERC.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage budgets, procurement, and inventory for tools, spare parts, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for senior management.
- Support community relations and serve as a point of contact for local authorities or stakeholders.
